SARM staff, directors and guests are mourning the loss of Alexander Simmons, long-time employee of the Mission. Alex had served the Mission for 20 years and did many jobs over that time, eventually becoming the Operations Manager. In this role he supervised the staff and oversaw all activities. He passed away in his sleep on March 16th at the age of 65.
David Lamb, his long-time friend and co-worker said, “Alex loved to barbeque for the overnighters and staff. We did a lot of things together and he was always talking about his grandchildren. He will be missed around here.”
We will definitely miss Alex! We express our condolences to his family and friends for their loss.
