We are happy to announce that the San Antonio Rescue Mission is now open for the first time since March of last year when the Governor of Texas announced the state’s shut down due to COVID-19. The Mission opened officially on Memorial Day, May 31, 2021 with maximum number of guests at 15 men. The SARM Board of Directors had been working diligently for the last several months to come up with operating procedures to keep our guests, staff and volunteers safe. All staff are now fully vaccinated and all volunteers to the Mission must be fully vaccinated. Guests are screened for COVID-19 symptoms upon entry and are required to wear a mask, except when eating or sleeping. We are excited that this first step has been taken and look forward to allowing more guests in the future.
