A youth choir group from First Baptist Church Roswell, Georgia entertained the guests at the Mission on Monday, June 16. The group consisted of 22 young people and 8 adults. Reverend David G. Warren, Minister of Music and Worship, led the choir as they sang uplifting songs to the men. They were on a week-long tour of Texas they called The Lone Star Tour, visiting SA as well as San Marcos, Waco, Hamilton and DFW area. The group is sharing the gospel with worship concerts and hands-on mission projects.
Our Board of Directors and staff provided a Barbecue dinner to the entire group including our staff and guests after the worship service. Sausages and hamburgers with all the trimmings were served along with macaroni and cheese, watermelon, dessert, and soft drinks. To accommodate the large group of people, tables and chairs were set outside on the patio. The youth ate and talked to the men during the Barbecue dinner. It was a very enjoyable and special time for our men.
We appreciate the FBC Youth Choir so much for taking the time to visit us during their summer tour.
